Thermage - Non Surgical Facelift

Technology about skin care is improving year in and out. Unlike before where you need to undergo literally under the knife procedure -- like cosmetic surgery, nowadays we have creams and non surgical facelift. Thermage is a non surgical facelift which is one of the more recent procedure for tightening the skin to achieve firming and make the skin wrinkle free.It uses heat to treat the inner layer of the skin and to cool the outer layer.

Thermage also falls under the procedure non invasive painless cosmetic surgery.

I saw this procedure done to a famous Filipino international singer named Clarice Pampengco and is becoming the "in" thing nowadays.. Usually women and men go under certain facelift for them to gain more confidence and for aesthetic purposes.

Thermage can also be used in body parts like tummy, arms, knees, butt and legs. Thermage is also termed as — also known as "radiothermoplasty", ThermaLift or ThermaCool.

Thermage is a new non invasive procedure using heat - radiofrequency energy to treat wrinkles and smooth en face. it acts as face lift but is non ablative. Non ablative meaning , It works by subjecting the inner skin layer to the heat -- "collagen" in epidermis and also cooling the outer skin dermis. In time the skin will tighten making all the wrinkle disappear for a younger looking you.

There are known side effects to thermage but they are rather are. Side effects include blisters, red swelling, peeling of the skin, dimpling and bumps. It appears temporarily and completely gone after several weeks.

Since thermage is a new procedure it is conducted with care and research is still ongoing about its side effects. To date, there are minimal side effect of this kind of non surgical facelift. Since heat is treated to the inner skin layer (which composed of collagen and elastin), it means that it tightens the skin and there is a cooling pad to treat the outer skin to balance it.
