Actually you can make budget planning work for you and you will become successful as long as you make it a habit.

Budget Planning Made Easy

Simple budgeting is done by creating a worksheet with three columns. The first column is the amount projected spending per item, the second column will be for actual amount and the third column is the difference. Avoid negative value on it because it means you overspend on the budget item. If not you can also add status or pay type as shown below on the video. • Your tentative or projected budget should be lesser by twenty percent of the actual income you received for the period of budgeting. This is to give some leeway to the amount of incidental expenses and the amount of money required for you to save.
  • Be very specific in your line item budget say for example don’t just write budget for entertainment, specifically state it if it is for Playstation games.
  • Avoid impulse buying and discipline yourself not to spend on extra items which are not important. This doesn't mean that you are going to curtain your happiness. But remember that it is more difficult to go back to your budget again once you lost track of it and you let your impulses overrun your self control.
  • Take note of the small amount in your budget which are repetitive, don't overlook them, it will add up for sure
  • Another example will be the amount say for example budget for food, separate it individually by main kinds of food like poultry, dairy or livestock as main entry. You can enumerate each one by one of the items. Specify the number of pieces or quantity, then state the amount of each item. Underscore the total value of amount purchased.
  • Sticking with your budget means that you will not use your credit card only for extreme cases and emergency purposes as this is a negative budget deficit for you in the future. as much as possible, find a way to cut back on other items instead of making a big credit or big purchase. Avoid impulsive buying as well.
  • Monitor the spending carefully by keeping your receipt and jotting down the exact amount of money spend for each item. You can always round it off to the bigger next whole number so that you don't have difficulty in adding it up. You are still on track with your budget and this mans you are over projecting your expenses. There is no way your projected expenses will be bigger than the actual one if you do this.
  • Instead of spending your money for other line item budget for an emergency expenses, spend your savings on it, just take note of the changes and subtract it on your next budget.
